Here are some of the most frequently asked questions, for more detailed information you can also download our instruction booklet, free of charge from our website www.russellhobbs.co.uk.
Q: HOW DO I FILL UP AND EMPTY MY EASYFILL IRON?
A: Simple. All you do is press the button on the handle, this opens up a valve, you then tip the iron upside down and fill up steadily until the tank is full, then take your finger off the button and you’re ready to iron!! No spills, no mess!
Q: WHAT IS THE WATER TANK CAPACITY?
A: Easyfill has an extra large, 400ml capacity tank, which is about 25% to 30% larger than an average iron, so you don’t have to fill it up so regularly!
Q: HOW DOES THE CORD WRAP ROUND THE BASE?
A: Again, this is simple. We have designed this element of the iron especially because we know from our research that consumers get frustrated with cords getting tangled and in the way. All you have to do is wrap it round the specially designed heel and then use the cable clip provided, so it’s neat and tidy to store.
Q: HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO REFILL?
A: That depends on how much ironing you are doing, but the extra large water tank has enough capacity to cover around an hours’ continuous use. This of course, depends on the heat and steam setting you select.
Q: HOW DO I PREVENT LIMESCALE BUILD UP?
A: Easyfill comes with a built-in anti-scale device to minimise lime scale build up.
Q: WHY DOES THE IRON LIGHT UP AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
A: This is a safety indicator around the base of the iron and the water tank. It illuminates immediately after switching the appliance on. The iron is ready to use once the thermostat indicator light on the top of the handle has disappeared. The blue light around the heel stays on constantly while switched on.
Q: WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO MODELS?
A: The higher specification (Heather) model has a ceramic soleplate. The benefit of a ceramic soleplate is that it gives even better heat distribution and tends to heat up quicker than steel equivalents. They also have better non-stick properties. The higher specification model also has higher wattage (for quicker heat up times) and a longer cord length of 3m.
